FedEx, the world's largest express transportation company, and INJAZ UAE, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to teaching entrepreneurship skills and empowering youth, and a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, continue their collaboration to equip young people in the UAE with the skills needed to succeed in the evolving professional landscape. Now in their fifth year, the two entities have provided 1,122 students during the 2024-2025 academic year with foundational and professional skills through a series of interactive workshops focused on career preparation, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

FedEx and Injaz Emirates
A recent study conducted by KPMG among high school students in the UAE showed that nearly 90% of those surveyed are thinking about their career goals, and that 72% of participants are working on a clear vision for their future during high school. Nearly 40% of the students surveyed, aged 15 to 18, stated that they are seeking to study business administration, making FedEx's Injaz programs perfectly aligned with their aspirations, providing practical education and guidance that reflects the challenges and opportunities of the business world.

FedEx Workshops
During the past academic year, FedEx volunteers led a series of in-person workshops covering the following topics:
• “More Than Money,” a workshop that teaches students from third to sixth grades the basics of financial management.
• “Introduction to Entrepreneurship,” a workshop that introduces older students to business innovation and creative thinking.
• “Career Success,” a workshop that provides high school and university students with essential skills such as writing a professional resume, preparing for interviews, and building a professional digital presence.
FedEx volunteers also offered insights and experiences from their personal careers, enriching the sessions and inspiring students with a real-world context.
On this occasion, Tarek Henedy, Vice President of FedEx Operations for the Middle East and Africa, said that FedEx sees youth empowerment as “a key to building stronger communities and more prosperous economies.” He emphasized that the collaboration with INJAZ UAE will help students “build valuable skills that will enable them to move forward in a rapidly changing world.” He added, “These programs allow us to inspire future-oriented innovators and support a generation prepared to lead with confidence and creativity, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into tangible achievements.”
The Middle East and North Africa region is home to nearly 140 million people under the age of XNUMX. Initiatives like mentorship sessions play a crucial role in helping young people connect classroom education with meaningful career paths, especially as more and more young people begin shaping their futures early.
