During his visit to Dhofar in the Sultanate of Oman, traveler Mohammed Ahmed met with the Saudi Tent Tenderer, who told us the story of the Bedouin tent from past to present.
The Bedouin Tent from Past to Present
The traveler said that the resources and living in the Bedouin tent were distinctive, as was the way of living in it. They used to take from the desert Najdi salt, frankincense, and palm leaves, which they used in new things, and they used to exchange wheat and dates. There was a time when there was no money, so the exchange was made with salt, frankincense, and palm leaves instead of dates and wheat.
He added that it includes the Kuf tree, which is found in the desert and is used for food, medicine and wound care.
