A period not exceeding 6 months to complete the procedures
The Authority explained that the expropriation process begins with the project's implementing entity submitting an official request to the Authority. Within 60 days, the request is referred to a specialized committee that reviews the file and issues a decision from the Governor approving or rejecting the property.
She added that the regulations grant an additional period of 60 days after the expropriation decision is published in the Official Gazette, during which all the property's contents, including buildings, facilities, and crops, are inventoried in preparation for the next phase.

Property appraisal and owner compensation
The Authority explained that the property appraisal process and determining the compensation value will take approximately 90 days, followed by a similar period to complete the disbursement justifications and finalize the regulatory procedures, including vacating the property and transferring its ownership to the beneficiary.
