The General Traffic Department emphasized on Wednesday the importance of raising traffic awareness among school students, particularly when traveling on school buses. The department emphasized that adhering to traffic guidelines and instructions directly contributes to enhancing traffic safety and reducing accidents.
Urgent warnings and important instructions
In conjunction with the return to school, the administration clarified that the most important behaviors students should follow on the school bus include: sitting quietly and fastening their seatbelts, avoiding confusing the driver, not sticking their heads or hands out of the windows, and refraining from getting off the bus until it has come to a complete stop.
The Traffic Department also called on parents to support these positive behaviors, noting that cooperation between families, schools, and bus supervisors is the cornerstone of ensuring a safe and stable transportation environment for our students.
Protecting school students
This campaign is part of a series of ongoing awareness-raising efforts launched by the General Traffic Department to promote a culture of traffic safety in the community, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable groups, primarily students, coinciding with the start of the new school year.
The administration emphasized that prevention begins with awareness, emphasizing that adhering to rules and instructions both on and off the bus enhances student protection and contributes to building a safe and stable school environment.
