ManageEngine, a leading enterprise IT management company and part of Zoho Group, announced the addition of digital employee experience (DEX) capabilities to its unified endpoint management and security platform, Endpoint Central. This enhancement marks a step toward fully autonomous endpoint management, addressing the growing need for IT teams to deliver a better employee experience while also managing and securing devices.
«Manage Engine»
Through this launch, ManageEngine aims to enable organizations to meet the demands of the modern work environment without increasing complexity.
Employee productivity is more dependent than ever on the performance of devices and applications.
According to Gartner's Digital Worker 2024 survey, nearly 2024% of respondents agree that the digital technology provided by their organization has enabled them to accomplish their work tasks efficiently.
However, issues such as slow boot times, application crashes, or delayed logins often go undetected until they cause significant business disruption. Without sufficient visibility, IT teams only notice these issues when employees submit support tickets, at which point they become more difficult and costly to resolve.
In this context, Chirag Mehta, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Constellation Research, said: “Hybrid work has made the digital experience a determining factor in employee productivity and retention.
Information Technology
Customers are looking for integrated tools that give IT teams the visibility and automation they need to move from reactive support to proactive engagement.”
Transforming raw data into actionable insights
The new DEX capabilities build on Endpoint Central's telemetry and processing capabilities by transforming raw performance data into actionable insights about the user experience. By combining monitoring, diagnostics, and automated remediation into a single platform, Endpoint Central eliminates the need for multiple separate tools, reducing complexity and enabling IT teams to move directly from monitoring to resolution.
Key features include:
1. Experience Monitoring and Monitoring: Continuously monitor indicators such as high CPU consumption, heavy memory usage, disk issues, and more, to detect early signs of any bottlenecks.
2. Insights and Root Cause Analysis: Links signs of poor performance to their causes, such as degraded hardware or resource-intensive applications, speeding up troubleshooting.
3. Alerts and Remediation Automation: Issues are categorized by severity and can be remediated with one click or automatically via a built-in action library or user-customized workflow.
4. Experience Evaluation and Benchmarking: Assess the performance and stability of devices and applications by awarding them scores, enabling IT teams to compare results to enterprise benchmarks, track the progress of remediation efforts, and monitor the overall health of endpoints over time.
A look towards the future
Future versions of ManageEngine will enhance predictive analytics, expand self-healing automation, and apply contextual AI to metrics and workflow data. ManageEngine will also enhance proactive controls, expand ecosystem integrations, and ensure the platform adapts to evolving business environment requirements.
“Our primary goal is to achieve self-management of endpoints through a unified platform that proactively ensures that all devices adhere to policies, maintain optimal performance, and remain secure—with IT teams only needing to intervene in exceptional circumstances,” commented Mathivanan Venkatachalam, Vice President at ManageEngine. “We’ve already integrated management, security, and user experience capabilities into our platform, and we continue to expand with each release.”
“Digital Employee Experience (DEX) management is one of the key pillars that brings us closer to achieving this vision.”
Pricing and availability
The new capabilities of DEX are available immediately as a standalone SaaS product (DEX Manager Plus) or as an add-on to Endpoint Central. The solutions are available globally and designed for organizations of all sizes, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large enterprises and global service providers.
