The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques launched today the "Unified Transportation Service" as part of the "Digital Saudi Arabia Day" activities organized by the Digital Government Authority at Taibah University. The service aims to enhance the experience of pilgrims inside the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque through a unified digital platform that allows for easy and convenient booking and use of various means of transportation.
General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques
Eng. Mohammed Al-Saqr, Vice President of Digital Transformation at the Authority, reviewed the features of the new service, noting that it represents a qualitative leap in the automation and unification of transportation services in the Two Holy Mosques. It includes electric vehicles, push vehicles, and free vehicles, all within an integrated digital system that enables online booking, provides information in multiple languages, and enables evaluation of the service after use.
Unified Mobility Service
Al-Saqr emphasized that the service seeks to achieve 100% digital transformation and improve operational efficiency, while taking into account the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities. He noted that the service is currently available in seven languages and fully supports electronic payments. He added that 13 locations have been designated for it in the Grand Mosque, with field support and introductory content explaining the steps for using it.
He added that the Authority aspires to expand the scope of services to include the Prophet's Mosque in the coming period, in addition to empowering innovators to provide innovative technical solutions that contribute to enhancing the experience of the Guests of God, as part of a comprehensive system that aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop services provided in the Two Holy Mosques.
This launch is an important step in our ongoing efforts to enhance the digital services provided to visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, and to ensure a smoother and more organized worship experience for all segments of the population, especially during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.
