The Saudi Camel Federation will close registration for mounts participating in the seventh edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival next Sunday. The festival will kick off next Tuesday at Taif's historic camel racing grounds.

On the second of August, the Federation announced the festival’s schedule, which includes holding (249) rounds for the various approved camel categories, in addition to five rounds for the camel race for men and women, while the total value of the festival’s prizes exceeds 50 million riyals, which reflects the festival’s great position in supporting and promoting camel sports.
In a new step, the Federation launched the Camel Owners' Membership Program for the first time in its seventh edition, with registration open on August 25 and 27.
Categories
Three categories: Premium membership, with a fee of 50 riyals and 11 benefits; Open membership, with a fee of 25 riyals and 8 benefits; and Regular membership, with a fee of 500 riyals.
A prominent annual event
The Crown Prince Camel Festival is a prominent annual event on the Kingdom's heritage and sporting calendar. It aims to promote camel racing and enhance its presence within Saudi culture, attracting a wide audience of fans from both within and outside the Kingdom.
Economic and development returns
Since its launch in 2018, the festival has contributed to economic and developmental returns through diverse activities that support and enhance the Kingdom's popular heritage. It has also contributed to consolidating the Kingdom's image as a custodian of heritage and identity.
Over the past five editions, the festival has won five local and international awards, most notably four Guinness World Records awards, including two in 2018 for the largest number of participating camels and the largest illuminated camel model. A similar award was also awarded in 2019, in addition to a new award for the 2024 edition. The festival also received the Makkah Economic Excellence Award in 2023, in recognition of its contributions to stimulating economic and cultural activity linked to heritage.
