The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha'at) is preparing to launch a franchise tour in the Makkah region from September 1 to 2 at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The tour aims to promote the culture of franchising and enable entrepreneurs to expand and invest through this model.
Facilities organizing a franchise tour
The tour is being held in partnership with several government and private entities, including the Ministry of Commerce, the National Transformation Program, the Social Development Bank, the Saudi Business Center, the Commercial Excellence Center, the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, and the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank.
The event will also see the participation of more than 20 brands showcasing their investment opportunities to entrepreneurs and those interested in the sector.
Diverse content to support entrepreneurs
The tour includes eight specialized workshops with the participation of several potential entities, in addition to advisory and guidance sessions in the field of commercial franchising, and a presentation of success stories and inspiring entrepreneurial experiences, supporting the state's efforts to develop the private sector and increase its contribution to the national economy, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 8.
The first day of the event will discuss important legal topics such as types of franchise contracts, a workshop on "How to Become a Certified Franchise Broker," and "How to Market Your Brand," in addition to a workshop on building operational manuals for brands, and a panel discussion on business expansion opportunities in Mecca.
The second day will cover topics such as evaluating franchise opportunities, the franchise journey, expansion strategies, and the role of supply chains in franchising, with a detailed presentation on the services provided by facilities to entrepreneurs.
Possible agreements and participation
The tour will witness the signing of a number of franchise agreements between brands and entrepreneurs. Seven potential entities from the public and private sectors will also participate in the event, offering various services to participants. Specialized consultants will be present in the fields of brand development and expansion, brand identity building, franchise operation, and franchise planning.
