Tomorrow, Sunday, approximately two million students will return to school in education departments in Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, and Taif, after a short break.
Schools back
The return to school in these areas was delayed by a week compared to the rest of the Kingdom, due to the special nature of these cities, which are directly linked to the Hajj and Umrah seasons. Over the past few weeks, these cities have witnessed large and continuous crowds of pilgrims and Umrah performers, requiring extensive coordination to regulate traffic on roads and in public facilities.
Return procedures
According to Al-Ekhbariya, the delay in the start of classes was part of an organizational plan to ensure smooth movement for pilgrims and Umrah performers and to provide a safe and stable educational environment for students. Education departments in these regions are preparing to receive students with all necessary arrangements to ensure the regular resumption of the educational process.
The back-to-school plan includes precautionary measures and health precautions to protect the health of students and faculty under the current circumstances, in addition to providing educational activities that help compensate for any delays in the educational process.
Coordination with the relevant authorities
The first day of return to school witnessed coordination between education departments and relevant authorities to ensure the smooth running of the educational process and avoid any congestion in vital areas. This is part of the ongoing efforts to develop education in the Kingdom.
