Correcting status via the Baladi platform – The Holy Capital Municipality announced the start of implementing a comprehensive plan targeting property owners and owners of commercial and industrial activities in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The plan calls on them to correct the status of their properties and update ownership data electronically via the Baladi platform.
This step comes as part of the real estate identity registration system, which aims to enhance compliance with municipal regulations and regulate the urban landscape to keep pace with sustainable development requirements.

Properties covered by the correction of conditions
The Secretariat's invitation included several types of licenses and permits, the most prominent of which are:
Building permits and building construction.
Workshop and warehouse operating licenses.
Licenses for carpentry, blacksmithing, aluminum and scrap metal workshops.
Land fencing licenses.
Correction steps via the “Balady” platform
The Secretariat confirmed that all procedures will be fully digital, through simplified steps via the "Balady" platform, eliminating the need to visit municipal offices or agencies directly.
If a building permit is not available, the owner must submit a request to demolish the building or rectify its status in accordance with regulations. Unlicensed commercial or industrial establishments are required to quickly regularize their status and update their data in accordance with approved municipal requirements.
Strict measures against violators
The Holy Capital Municipality has emphasized that it will take firm action against violators, including the closure and removal of unlicensed activities and facilities operating outside the designated urban area, such as some workshops, warehouses, showrooms, and carpentry and blacksmith shops.
She explained that these steps are aimed at preserving public health and implementing approved development plans aimed at enhancing the city's urban landscape.
