The Housing Program - one of the programs - issued Kingdom's Vision 2030 - Its 2024 annual report, titled "From Decision-Making to Stability," reviewed the most prominent performance indicators and strategic achievements that contributed to supporting the overall economy and increasing non-oil GDP, in addition to achievements related to the goals of Vision 2030.
This comes in light of the program's continued support and attention from the wise leadership, which is keen to enhance housing stability for citizens.
Housing performance indicators and achievements
The report revealed that Saudi household ownership reached 65.4% by the end of 2024, exceeding the 2025 target of 65%. This reflects the effectiveness of the housing and financing initiatives and enablers provided by the program in conjunction with partners.
He also noted that more than 122 families benefited from housing support during the year, while more than 21 eligible families were able to own homes through development housing programs.
Residential Contracts and Products
The report indicated that 2024 witnessed the signing of more than 13 contracts for land products owned by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, in addition to approximately 16 contracts for self-construction, more than 49 contracts for ready-to-use units, and more than 27 contracts for off-plan sales, reflecting the wide variety of housing products the program offers to beneficiaries.
Program strategy and support for the national economy
The report emphasized that the housing program's strategy focused on accelerating home ownership despite global economic changes, by launching development initiatives and projects that provided diverse housing opportunities, attracted private sector partners, and contributed to job and investment opportunities.
Future goals
The housing program aims to enable Saudi families to obtain suitable housing with ease and convenience, through an integrated package of housing and financing products, while providing diverse options that meet different categories in all regions of the Kingdom, in order to achieve the goals.
