In its daily weather report for Monday, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts continued moderate to heavy thunderstorms across several areas in the south and west of the Kingdom, including parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah. The forecast includes the possibility of flash floods, accompanied by hail and strong winds, which will reduce horizontal visibility.
Heavy rain
The report also indicated the possibility of fog forming during the night and early morning hours on the highlands of these areas, which could increase the difficulty of driving and transportation.
In the same context, the center predicted scattered thunderstorms in parts of the Eastern Province and Najran, while surface winds, causing dust storms, will be active in parts of both regions.
It extends to include areas of Riyadh and Medina, leading to a potential decline in air quality and horizontal visibility.
