The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) revealed a significant decline in complaints against Saudi airports in 2024, down 41% compared to 2023.
According to the data, the authority received 966 complaints about airports last year, compared to 1630 complaints the year before.
Rise in complaints against airlines
In contrast, the report showed a 21% increase in passenger complaints about airlines during 2024.
The number of complaints against air carriers reached 16,242, compared to 13,474 complaints recorded in 2023.
Strategic efforts to enhance the Kingdom's position in aviation
The report indicated that the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) continued its efforts in 2024 to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a global air transport hub, achieving numerous successes, most notably:
-Developing airport infrastructure.
- Facilitating the movement of pilgrims and Umrah performers.
- Enhancing domestic and international air connectivity.
- Launching initiatives in the field of aviation safety and environmental sustainability.
Future Aviation Conference in Riyadh
In 2024, the Authority also hosted the Future of Aviation Conference, which witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding to support the Kingdom's global leadership in the civil aviation sector.
