Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jawf Region, inaugurated today the first annual “Qurayyat Salt” Festival, at the Cultural Center in Qurayyat Governorate, organized by the municipality.

Upon his arrival at the venue, His Highness was received by the Deputy Governor of the Emirate, Hussein bin Mohammed Al Sultan, the Governor of Al Qurayyat, Dr. Talal bin Mishal Al Tamiyat, and a number of officials.
During the ceremony, the Secretary of the Al-Jawf region, Engineer Atef bin Mohammed Al-Shar’an, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the great support that the municipal sector receives from the wise leadership, followed by various artistic segments that included poetic verses, the Dahha and the Saudi Ardah, and an artistic operetta that reflects the cultural heritage of the governorate.

Afterwards, His Highness visited the salt products exhibition accompanying the festival, and viewed its sections that displayed the history of salt extraction, methods of production, and the diversity of its economic uses.
The mayor of Al-Qurayyat Governorate, Engineer Jamal bin Abduldaim Al-Balawi, explained that the festival will last for ten days and includes multiple areas to display salt products of all kinds, in addition to cultural and entertainment activities targeting different segments of society.
