An auction that represents a landmark event in the world of falconry
The Saudi Falcons Club auction is a prominent annual event in the field of falconry, which is eagerly awaited by falconers from inside and outside the Kingdom to practice their traditional hobby of capturing falcons.
This year's auction is dedicated exclusively to locally captured falcons, those hunted or trapped within Saudi Arabia during the breeding season. The club also aims to develop the falcon auction market in the Kingdom by improving the buying and selling process and regulating it in accordance with environmental laws.
Preserving endangered species
The club emphasizes the importance of preserving endangered falcon species, such as the saker falcon and the peregrine falcon, prohibiting their sale at auction. The club also focuses on educating falconers about the necessity of not offering endangered falcons for sale. The auction is limited to young peregrine falcons, thus contributing to the preservation of the biodiversity of these species.
Facilities and support for falconers
The Saudi Falcons Club offers a package of facilities for falconers participating in the auction, including transportation and accommodation services, in addition to documenting sales transactions through the official system.
The auction events are also broadcast on television channels and social media platforms, which contributes to spreading the culture of falconry and enhancing its presence at the economic and social levels in the Kingdom.
